The Ignite festival is one of the largest Christian music festivals in the Kern County and is the premier Christian music festival for the Bakersfield area drawing fans from several cities, especially from the Kern County. The Ignite festival features concerts by many of the top Christian music artists, Bible and life application teaching by well-known and gifted speakers, action activities for all ages and various activities.
The Ignite festival debuted in 2011 at Shafter High School, located in Shafter. 2011 marked year number one in the Bakersfield area and was an absolute high-quality Christian festival featuring Remedy Drive, 7eventh Time Down, Paul Wright, Brock Gill, Rock Steady and Current Affair.
The Ignite festival is an annual Christian music festival that desires to worship and glorify God the Father by:
- Presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music and teaching.
- Providing opportunities for people to accept Christ as their Savior.
- Encouraging spiritual growth and the pursuit of a Christ-like life.
- Building unity through the fellowship of believers.
The Ignite festival is presented by the Ignite Association – an association of local pastors working together to spread the message and love of Jesus Christ to the community and to the world.
